These extra terms and conditions apply to the Stars junior tennis and swim programmes in addition to the terms and conditions of membership.
1. Term and duration
a. The Stars programme runs throughout the year with a two week break for Christmas and New Year. If you agree to pay monthly by direct debit you can apply for your child to join the programme at any time. You and your child must be members.
b. Your child will remain in the programme until you give us notice of cancellation in line with 4a ‘Cancellation and Notice’ or we give you notice of cancellation.
c. An initial minimum period of three calendar months will apply. This means your minimum commitment is to pay for three months plus any part of the month your child joins as mentioned in 3a ‘Joining after the month has started’.
2. Fees and payment
a. Your initial monthly payment will be the amount shown on the application form or app booking.
b. The monthly fees may change over time and we will let you know in advance.
c. We will ask your bank for your payment around the first working day of each month.
3. Joining after the month has started
a. Any sessions booked between the date your child joins the programme and the start of the following month will be added to your first direct debit payment.
4. Cancellation and notice
a. You can cancel at any time after the initial three month period. You must give us at least one calendar month’s notice to cancel in line with the Terms and Conditions of Membership or by email to [email protected], [email protected] or [email protected]
b. Cancelling your direct debit is not the same as giving us notice.
c. If you apply to join the Stars programme online or via the David Lloyd Clubs app, you have the right to cancel your subscription within 14 days of making your application. You must send your notice of cancellation by email to the address in 4a above. We will refund (within 14 days of receiving your notice of cancellation) any amount you have already paid less an amount to cover any sessions your child has attended.
5. Changing and moving Stars Programme
a. You may request a change of day, time or instructor and we will make every reasonable effort to accommodate your request subject to availability and suitability.
b. We will recommend new sessions as your child progresses and cannot guarantee that your child will be allocated to the same coach and day. We will always try to provide the same instructor for each session. We may substitute a suitably qualified alternative instructor without notice at any time.
c. If we have to cancel a session for any reason we will make every reasonable effort to contact you as soon as possible. We will try to offer an alternative session or, if this is not possible, a refund on a pro rata basis.
d. We may move or schedule tennis sessions outdoors.
e. We may cancel or merge courses if we think that numbers fall below a minimum viable level in any group. If we cancel a course which you have booked, we will refund a proportion of any fees you have already paid based on the number of remaining sessions in the month and suspend future payments until a suitable programme for your child becomes available.
